The Green TV
“The Green TV” is a lifestyle program that explores the sophisticated tastes, desires, and interests of The Green Magazine readers and advertisers. The one-hour show will complement the magazine and explore new territory that will only be enhanced by The Green brand.
The show will be shot in 24p, allowing for greater picture quality and enhanced resolution. It will have a cinematic look and feel to provide the template for upscale television programs designed to attract an affluent and demanding demographic. The Green TV will clearly stand out against other golf programs on television today.
The show will have a host and a co-host, both of whom will intro and exit the show. The host will do the primary interviews while the co-host handles the smaller packages. We also have plans for a comedic host and a PGA professional to deliver instructional tips (e.g., PGA Class A professional Rodney Green). Though golf will be at the forefront of most stories, it will also serve as the transition to coverage of the lifestyle surrounding the sport.
Interview segments with the main celebrity—including her/his hometown golf course, favorite car, favorite destinations, etc.—will carry each show’s theme to maintain program continuity. This format will also allow for integrated product placement and advertiser support without the distraction of commercials.
In sum, “The Green TV” is an entertaining and educational lifestyle exploration of multicultural professionals who are passionate about the great game of golf.
